Fashion is the general style or custom of clothing worn at any given time. The word "fashion" comes from the years when people described a woman who was well dressed as a "fashion plate". We have the honor to present you our page, where you can find a valuable information concerning fashion and worldwide fashion weeks. Fashion has always been important to women however; now, it seems to be almost as important to men. Today the person who follows fashion like a slave is called a fashionista. Some fashionistas look ridiculous in the new styles but they wear them anyway. Our page is especially devoted to those people, who want to follow modern tendencies and look fashionable and stylish.

Fashion Week is a big industry event. There is one held in each of the large fashion capitals. It is need less to say, that New York is one of fashionable cities where Fashion weeks usually take place. These weeks occur twice a year for autumn/winter fashions and spring/summer fashions. They are held many months in advance so that the buyers and the magazine editors can see the designs prior to ordering them for their venue. The first week of women's wear is New York followed by London, Milan and Paris. New York prides itself to be a centre of fashion; however, Paris has always been Fashion Capital. When you speak about New York, you are talking about the fashion capital of America. New York designers are taking us one step ahead when it comes to fashion.

Fashion Week is an absolute celebration who loves following trend. Not only clothes are presented on annual Fashion Weeks. For example, New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 presented many designer handbags creations. From designer wear to accessories, there was everything. But one thing that caught everybody's attention were designer bags in numerous colors. There were lots of clutches, handbags and totes that were presented in different styles at the main fashion shows of NYFW. The interest is logical as women can never get fed up of designer bags and want one that suits the attire and wearer style as well.

Designers produce fashion shows to show off their latest collections. The most recent show was in February 2010 for Spring 2011 Fashion Week. Fashion Week is an excellent opportunity for American (and a few international) designers - ranging from Oscar de la Renta to Zac Posen - to show off their upcoming collections. The fashion shows are often entertaining, accompanied by loud, mood-setting music and changing lighting. The press writes about and photographs the runway collections for newspapers, magazines, internet and television so the general public can see what is going on in fashion. This year green chic was evident on the runways, where designers showcased sustainable design from the recycled metal jewelry of Native American Maria Samora to c. marchuska's ecologically and socially conscious clothing line. Environmental protection played a great role in NY designer collections.

New York Fashion Week offers plenty of inspiration to those who is fond of new tendencies in fashion. Handmade jewelry, scarves, trim, cutouts and appliques are all relatively simple fashion techniques that don't require couture sewing skills, and the spring 2011 collections had plenty of ideas to get the juices flowing. For example, Victoria Beckham presented her fifth collection in which she created the initial template for a violet draped silk dress by wrapping one and a half meters of fabric around a model and tying it in a knot. She cited the sculptor Brancusi as an influence for the dresses, saying she "wanted to celebrate curves." If talking about other collections, presented by designers during New York Fashion Week, white was the color of the season, with optimistic pops of bright colors in unexpected combinations lending an air of delightful surprise to many collections. Soft, flowing fabrics, modern sportswear, and elegant shoes and accessories defined the trends going into spring.

New York Fashion Week was delighted to present the collections of such prominent designers as Oscar de la Renta, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Proenza Schouler, Michael Kors, Narciso Rodriguez, Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Vera Wang, Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera and many other famous and fabulous designers. The mission of most collections was to celebrate femininity. Myriad printed day dresses with fitted waists and full skirts, saddle-belted navy cocktail frock with a sculpted bodice, dresses with a retro spirit, especially in the handful of carnation or polka-dotted princess gowns... All of these seem very fashionable and up-to-date. The whites came in an arresting parade of boxy suits and louche dresses. Most dresses were stiff, short, and sexy in their severity. Sexiness, in fact, was really the point of most collection. Evenings were a strictly glam affair on some collections range with gold sequins and lame, the best, from Ralph Lauren, featured as a tiered-fringe pencil skirt and worn with a pale green plaid shirt. However, Michael Kors stuck to classic shapes but spiffed them up with a dose of classic Kors luxe, like a sweatshirt tee topping a tan leather skirt. New York Fashion Week managed to show all the best from the best world collections. And now these collections are being discussed by the most prominent fashion critics.
